Surrounded by Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam, Cambodia boasts a rich culture and many natural treasures, with beaches, rivers, and some of the most remote forests in all of Asia. Here, travelers will enjoy endless opportunities for exploration. The magical Temples of Angkor tell a fascinating story against a beautiful backdrop of ancient ruins. The capital city, Phnom Penh, showcases Cambodia’s well-preserved traditions. And bustling cafes strewn among the spectacular pagodas and monasteries are symbolic of the way new has interwoven with old. Outside the cities, travelers can explore the unspoiled natural beauty and fascinating floating villages. Our expertly planned tours of Asia uncover the treasures of Southeast Asia’s best-kept secret.

In Phnom Penh see ornamental Khmer architecture at the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, see traditional art at the Cambodian National Museum or try your hand at bargaining at the stalls of the huge Central Market. Visit somber Tuol Sleng, a former Khmer Rouge prison and now a museum, and then pay your respects at the Choeung Ek Killing Fields memorial. Head north to Siem Reap, your base for visiting the temples of the Khmer Empire, and find a meal in the vibrant Angkor Night Market. Stand in awe of the spectacular Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and discover other incredible sites at Angkor Thom, the Bayon Temple, Ta Prohm, and the Terrace of the Elephants. Nearby you’ll find the sacred Phnom Kulen National Park to hike to impressive waterfalls and Preah Ang Thom, a 50-foot statue of a reclining Buddha.

While on a tour of Cambodia, you can also explore the Mekong Delta and Vietnam.

When is the best time to travel to Cambodia?

Cambodia has a tropical monsoon climate and two real seasons: the monsoon or rainy season from May through October, and the dry season, from November to April. During the rainy season, temperatures are cool and pleasant. Temperatures in the dry season can be very hot, so travelers are advised to pack accordingly and bring plenty of sunscreen.
