Europe, North & South America, Australia & New Zealand trips
We pride ourselves on having the finest fleet of fuel-efficient, fully air-conditioned coaches – all with reclining seats and on-board restrooms.

The high vantage point from the coach window means you can take in all the glorious scenery, whether a vast rural landscape or an urban city center. We also have onboard Wi-Fi.

Please note: The coach WiFi uses the 3G mobile network, which means the connection can be slower than standard broadband.

Africa & Asia trips
Africa and Asia tour vehicles do not have Wi-Fi on board. On Africa safaris, you may be on a coach part of the time and a 4 X 4 safari vehicle at other times. On Asia trips, there are no onboard restrooms, but we always ensure there are regular rest stops.

  • One *small, soft-sided day bag per guest: Because our coaches have large windows to enjoy the view, there is minimal space to store items securely overhead or under the seats. You may bring one soft-sided day bag, purse, backpack, tote, or the like on board your coach. Restricted to one piece per person, not to exceed 12” x 11” x 6”. Because we value our guests' safety, small rolling suitcases or bags with telescopic handles are not permitted.
  • One suitcase per guest: To be stored under the coach while in operation. (In order to guarantee a smooth trip, guests are not permitted to store an additional "carry-on" bag beneath the coach with the luggage.)
  • Misc. If you wish, you can also bring onboard a travel pillow, something to read, sunglasses, your phone, headphones if you'd like to listen to music, etc.

*Please note: A "carry-on bag" on a tour coach is not the same as a "carry-on" for a flight. Carry-on bags are restricted to one piece per person, not to exceed 12” x 11” x 6”

Luggage & *Carry-On Bag Size Limits for Europe Tours

  • Luggage: Each guest traveling may bring one suitcase no larger than 30” x 18” x 10" and weighing no more than 50 lb

On-Tour Luggage & *Carry-On Bag Terms

So your driver and the hotel porters can safely lift and transport your suitcase throughout your vacation, we strongly recommend that you test the weight of your baggage prior to travel. You should be able to lift and comfortably transport it for short distances.

Baggage allowances vary from airline to airline, and you should check with your chosen carrier for details prior to travel.

*Carry-On Bags Worldwide: A "carry-on bag" on a tour coach is not the same as a "carry-on" for a flight. Because our coaches have large windows to enjoy the view, there is minimal space to store large items securely overhead or under the seats. A "carry-on bag" may be a soft-sided daypack, purse, backpack, tote bag, or the like. Because we value our guests' safety, small rolling suitcases or bags with telescopic handles are not permitted. This information is included in the day-by-day itinerary for your trip.

We strive to accommodate vegetarian guests as best we can depending on the destination and establishments, and we can assist with diabetic, gluten-free, and other medically-recommended diets. Please advise us at the time of booking.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to supply meals in accordance with strict religious requirements. We cannot provide salt-free, Kosher, Halal requests or specific dietary supplements such as milk alternatives and high protein or low-carb meals.

You can inform us of any dietary requirements when you book, by contacting our team at 1-877-622-9109, or by logging into MyGET and selecting 'view trip details' for your trip.

One of our guests' favorite aspects of taking a guided tour or river cruise is meeting new people from all over the globe and traveling with them. We often hear after they return about the lifelong friends they've made and even future travels they've begun to plan together.

The number of guests on a Guided Tour

The number of guests on tour with you can vary depending on where you are going:

  • Europe tours: An average of 40 to 45 guests
  • United States and Canada tours: A maximum of 52 guests
  • Australia and New Zealand tours: A maximum of 50 guests
  • Asia tours: A maximum of 28 guests
  • Africa tours: A maximum of 20 guests
  • Latin America tours: A maximum of 40 to 45 guests

The number of guests on a Uniworld River Cruise

While ocean liners are made to be massive, think 5,000+ guests on a 14-story vessel, river cruises are simply not capable of that scale. They must be able to fit beneath bridges that may be incredibly old and close to the water. As a result, river cruise ships are much smaller and carry far fewer passengers.

Uniworld ships have an average capacity of just 120 passengers, which means you enjoy an intimate onboard atmosphere and unmatched service with a crew-to-passenger ratio of 1 to 2.3.

Yes. We want to ensure you get all you want out of your trip. Each itinerary offers the perfect balance of downtime and discoveries. We also give you the opportunity to tailor your trip with Optional Experiences. Some of our trips offer a more relaxed pace, with later starts and longer stays in each place.

If you would like to exclude yourself from an included experience, please ensure you speak with your Travel Director so they are aware of your plans. They will make sure you are aware of any necessary times or meeting points. Please note we cannot provide any compensation or refunds if you decide not to take part in an included activity or meal.

The activity level and amount of walking can vary, so it is essential that you bring adequate footwear to ensure your comfort and safety. All itineraries involve walking, often on cobblestones and uneven surfaces. Guests need to be in good physical condition (able to walk 1-3 miles unassisted in one day and keep up with the group). Our partners make every effort to accommodate special needs requests. If you have questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact one of our Travel Specialists at 1-877-622-9109 for more information.

Our itineraries are a well-balanced mix of walking and enjoying sites from the comfort of your coach.

Coach Travel

Europe tours

Our modern air-conditioned coaches, complete with WiFi, have been selected with your comfort in mind. Your Travel Director will introduce the Driver, explain any safety information in detail and familiarize you with all the features on board.

  • Washroom: A washroom is fitted for your comfort, and please rest assured that regular stops are made for you to stretch your legs, take refreshments, fill up your water bottles, and use the facilities. For safety reasons, any hot drinks consumed on board must have a lid. As our coaches are non-smoking, rest stops also provide an opportunity for those who wish to smoke or vape.
  • Seat rotation: To ensure fairness and to enhance your coach experience, your Travel Director will facilitate a daily seat rotation system. This enables guests to enjoy the panoramic views from a different seat and provides opportunities to get to know their fellow travelers and make new friends each day.
  • Coach comfort and courtesy: In consideration for your fellow travelers, we respectfully ask that you do not disturb others when using a mobile phone, playing electronic games, or listening to music through headphones. Please also be aware of obstructing the view of those behind you when using tablets to take photos or video footage.
  • WI-FI on the road: Complimentary Wi-Fi is generally available on coaches. Using a 3G mobile network means that connection is slower than standard broadband and, at times, may not be available. It is suitable for checking emails, web browsing, and updating social media accounts but less so for streaming videos or large photo uploads.

Please note: The coach WiFi uses the 3G mobile network, which means the connection can be slower than standard broadband.

River Cruise Travel

There’s "all-inclusive," and then there’s the unmatched level of inclusive luxurious amenities only Uniworld provides. To ensure genuinely carefree and effortless travel, they've included it all–so the only thing you have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy your vacation. All-inclusive amenities on Uniworld River Cruises include:

  • Unlimited premium wine & spirits
  • Masterfully prepared fine dining
  • All scheduled airport transfers
  • All gratuities on board
  • Carefully curated excursions
  • Ship-wide internet and Wifi
  • Onboard wellness programs
  • Onboard entertainment

European Cruise Destinations
It's best to prepare for a variety of weather conditions, depending on your travel season and the regions through which you will be cruising. Layering clothing items is always your best bet, as this allows you to adjust to most temperatures, including artificially maintained temperatures, by adding or removing items throughout the day. Comfortable, sporty, smart-casual daywear is appropriate both onshore and onboard.

  • Everyday slacks, khakis, walking shorts, and everyday skirts/dresses are recommended.
  • For warmer temperatures, we suggest lightweight clothing that can be layered, such as a mix of sweaters, lightweight knit shirts, slacks, and walking shorts.
  • For early spring and late fall departures, you’ll find sweatshirts, heavier cotton or wool tops and long-sleeved shirts, and corduroy or heavy khaki pants perfectly suitable.
  • Mix-and-match color schemes work best to help keep baggage light.
  • You will participate in a significant amount of walking over uneven terrain during your time ashore. We recommend comfortable walking shoes with good ankle support. Sturdy sandals are another good option.
  • For evenings, any resort-type wear is perfectly suitable; however, we do ask that you not wear shorts to dinner. Men may want to bring one sport jacket for dressier restaurant venues and for special events onboard, such as the Captain’s Welcome and Farewell festivities. Women may wish to bring a cocktail dress or two for finer dining or entertainment experiences.
  • A lightweight waterproof jacket (preferably hooded) or even a heavier-weight windbreaker for colder temperatures.

Exotic Cruise Destinations
These programs are very different from European river programs; attire is more casual due to the region’s warmer temperatures.

During the cruise/tour portion of your program, comfortable, lightweight clothing in lighter colors is strongly recommended. We suggest clothing that can be layered, such as a mix of cotton shirts, lightweight knit shirts, sweaters, everyday khakis, slacks, skirts/dresses, walking shorts, and sun hats. You will participate in a significant amount of walking over uneven terrain during your time ashore. We recommend comfortable walking shoes with good ankle support. Sturdy sandals are another good option.

  • Egypt: For evenings, we recommend casual and cool attire; however, we require footwear to be worn at all times in the dining room. Sport jackets and cocktail dresses are not needed during this program. You may wish to pack at least one “smart casual” outfit for the onboard Gala Reception. For those on the Jordan extension, while sleeping quarters will be heated, the winter months can drop below freezing at night. Please pack accordingly for outside weather.
  • India, Vietnam & Cambodia: For evenings, we recommend casual and cool attire; however, we require footwear to be worn at all times in the dining room. Sport jackets and cocktail dresses are not needed during this program.
  • Peru: We recommend comfortable walking shoes, quick-drying and lightweight clothing, lightweight, long pants and rain gear, long-sleeved tops for jungle excursions, a wide-brimmed hat, extra socks, and a bathing suit.

Prepare for a variety of weather conditions, depending on your travel season and the regions through which you will be cruising. Layering clothing items is always your best bet, as this allows you to adjust to most temperatures, including artificially maintained temperatures, by removing or adding items throughout the day. Mix/match color schemes work best to help keep baggage light.

Don’t forget to pack a lightweight waterproof jacket (preferably hooded) or even a heavy-weight windbreaker for colder temperatures, especially during early spring, fall, and winter departures.

Please note: To enter the temples and other holy sites, guests should ensure that their shoulders and knees are covered.

In many ports, your river ship is small enough to dock within easy walking distance of the historic city center. Elsewhere, the ship may need to dock farther away, and a motorcoach transfer will be provided. There may be times when your ship moors next to another ship or between ships, especially in busy ports. Docking locations are determined by the local harbor authorities, not Uniworld or the ship’s captain.

The standard check-in and check-out times will apply regardless of flight schedules or transfer arrangements.

Arrivals: On the day of embarkation, your stateroom will be ready after 3:00 PM. Guests who embark prior to 3:00 PM can wait in one of the public areas onboard. For itineraries beginning at a hotel, your room will be ready after the hotel’s standard check-in time. Uniworld is unable to request early check-ins.

Departures: On the day of disembarkation, you must vacate your stateroom by 8:00 AM. Guests with flights departing later in the day may wait onboard in one of the public areas until 1:00 PM or later, depending on the sailing schedule. For itineraries ending at a hotel, you must vacate your room by the hotel’s standard check-out time. Uniworld is unable to request late check-outs.

Select ships offer complimentary Wi-Fi access. Service may be briefly interrupted in remote areas while sailing, or when moving through locks, and the speed will likely be slower than what you are used to back home.

The Uniworld staff and crew will do their best to deliver all excursions as promoted, yet there may be times when circumstances beyond our control require us to make certain changes to scheduled activities. Every effort will be made to operate programs as planned, but changes may still be necessary throughout the cruise.

Yes, each group has an English-speaking guide. Uniworld's local experts are considered the best in the industry, and their complimentary QuietVox audio headsets make it easy to hear every word of the insightful commentary.

Depending on the itinerary, talented local performers (music, dance, traditional arts, etc.) may come onboard from time to time to provide after-dinner entertainment.

Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection is modeled after its TTC sister company, the five-star Red Carnation Hotel Collection. Their collection of boutique hotels is known for their destination-inspired interior décor, gracious service, and carefully selected amenities—all of which provide an intimate, elegant and relaxed experience.

Likewise, their boutique river cruise ships are stylish floating hotels with inviting spaces, exquisite antiques, custom fabrics, and original works of art.

Suites: Each suite is a showstopper, boasting custom fabrics and upholstery, original artwork, handcrafted furniture, and Savoir® Beds of England. When you stay in a spacious Uniworld suite, you'll enjoy outstanding butler service, large all-marble bathrooms with double vanity, Asprey bath and body products, handcrafted Savoir® Beds of England, a fully-stocked bar, fresh cookies and fruit delivered daily, and more.

Most ships have either a self-serve laundrette (with ironing board) or laundry service for an additional fee. No dry cleaning services are available on any ship.

For the comfort of all our guests, smoking is only permitted on the sun decks of our ships. Smoking is not permitted on motorcoaches. This policy applies to all forms of smoking materials, including vapor e-cigarettes.

We also ask guests to refrain from smoking on shore excursions/tours, especially since many historical sites and other tourist attractions are now smoke-free as well.

Accommodation

Europe Tours

While traveling in Europe, you can expect to enjoy a variety of hotel accommodations. Hotel room sizes, facilities, and services may vary from country to country and region to region and are often local in style. While you may find yourself enjoying a stay in one of the well-known hotel chains for part of your trip, a stay in a traditional, unique hotel that reflects the local area may also be included.

On occasion, we may substitute hotels listed on an itinerary and will always endeavor to ensure that any alternative hotel will be of an equivalent (if not higher) standard.

There may also be slight differences between hotels in Europe and other parts of the world. Check out what to expect in a European hotel room here. You should note that:

  • In Europe, the first floor is often considered the first floor above ground level, and the lobby is considered level zero.
  • Room size is generally slightly smaller than you may be used to. Space is a precious commodity in Europe and especially in its busiest cities. Many of the buildings will have been in existence for hundreds of years and were not built with the modern traveler in mind. The upside is that they are usually in excellent locations and have a fascinating story.
  • Bed sizes may also differ. In Europe, King- and Queen-sized beds are rare. Here, Double beds are the norm, and you may often find that a double room consists of two twin beds pushed together instead of a full bed made up of one set of linen. You may also find that twin beds will be placed very close together.
  • Hotel accommodation usually consists of bathrooms with combination bathtubs and showers. In place of a shower curtain, there will often be a door that extends half the length of the tub. Simply ask at reception if you require a non-slip bath mat, which most hotels will deliver to your room. Bathroom linens rarely include face cloths/washcloths as an amenity. If you use a washcloth or loofah, be sure to pack those and bring them with you.
  • Electricity in Europe is mostly 220-240 voltage. You should bring a travel adapter and a power converter. Items that generally require converters are mainly larger devices such as computers, hair dryers, sleep machines, etc. We always recommend that you try to minimize the number of items you plug in at one time, as for safety reasons, most hotels have sensitive triggers to electrical surges, and overloading items could lead to a blackout. You may also need to change adapters when changing countries since electrical outlets can vary. In European bathrooms, sockets are usually for shavers only.
  • Tea- and coffee-making facilities are not usually provided in your hotel room in Europe; however, the exception to this rule is the UK, where tea- and coffee-making facilities are usually available.

Rest of World

We select our hotels for their quality, impeccable service, and comfort. The majority of them have air conditioning.

Checking in to your arrival hotel
Official check-in times vary from hotel to hotel. Should your flight arrive in the early morning in the city where your trip begins, you may find yourself arriving at the hotel before noon, and it could be early afternoon before your room is ready (2 pm/3 pm). Hotels try to prevent this, but check-in times cannot be guaranteed. The hotel will be able to suggest how any spare time could be used to enjoy the local restaurants, sightsee or relax while your room is made ready.

When arriving at your first hotel, check in at the main reception desk, where the reception staff will need to know your name and which operating brand you're traveling with (Trafalgar, Insight Vacations, Costsaver, etc.).

When your trip begins, all future check-ins will be managed by the Travel Director, who will advise you regarding procedures and hotel features prior to arrival. They will secure keys and oversee the delivery of your luggage to your room.

Photocopies of documents
Some European hotels are required to keep your passport at reception throughout your stay because of government, country, or local laws. You are therefore recommended to bring a photocopy of your passport and any visas with you when you travel. A helpful tip is to photocopy your airline tickets, credit cards, your driver’s license, etc., as this can speed up replacements on those rare occasions when the originals are lost. Even easier is to scan your documents and send them to yourself as attachments in an email so that you have access to them if needed.

Keys
Many hotels use magnetic key cards. These may be required to use the elevator. The first digit of the room number usually indicates the floor level to select. In many European hotels, key cards also operate the lighting and air-conditioning. The card is usually inserted into a slot or box located just inside the room in order for the electricity to function, and it is a great way to save energy!

Checking out of your hotel
Always make a last-minute check of safe deposit boxes, drawers, wardrobe, and the bathroom before departing each hotel and returning your key. If you have consumed any items from the mini bar or accessed pay-TV, etc., you are responsible for ensuring that incidental expenses are paid prior to departure. We recommend settling bills in the evening to ensure a smooth departure the following morning.

Yes. Plan to pack an adaptor and converter if you're traveling outside of the USA.

As electrical plugs and outlets differ throughout the world, we recommend purchasing a universal travel adaptor with a built-in converter suitable for the countries you are traveling to. And to pick up any necessary adapters or converters for your electronic devices before departing on your guided tour.

It's important to note that not all appliances are compatible with voltage converters, so it's essential to check the labels or user manuals of your devices before using them with a voltage converter.

To avoid any issues with electrical compatibility during your travels, consider purchasing appliances specifically designed for the voltage used in the region you'll be visiting or use appropriate voltage converters and plug adapters to ensure the safe operation of your American appliances.

Hair dryers are common accessories in hotels worldwide. Should you want to bring your own, though, you will need to bring an adapter and voltage converter. If you need a hair dryer during your trip but can't find one in your hotel room, you can inquire with the hotel staff. Many hotels will be able to provide a hair dryer upon request, either at the front desk or through housekeeping.

We select our hotels for their quality, impeccable service, and comfort, and the majority have air-conditioning. A few hotels in the northern Alps of Europe do not have air conditioning due to the colder climate.

While you may find that larger hotel chains enable you to control the temperature in your room manually, other hotels control the temperature automatically. Some unique, historic buildings cannot be retrofitted easily to allow for air conditioning at all. There are often local and national laws and regulations in place which prohibit use at night or in low season (October – May).

Most hotels offer a laundry service; in some cities, laundromats are also available. However, it’s sensible to pack enough clothing to avoid having to do laundry, as it can sometimes be costly or inconvenient.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in most hotel guestrooms and/or communal areas. On some occasions, the Wi-Fi may need an access code from hotel staff. Your Travel Director will provide details when checking in to each hotel.

Yes, hotels can change from those listed on the website or in your travel documents. This might be due to a variety of reasons and is often out of our control. If this does happen, we will ensure the new hotel is in a similar location and meets our high standards.

Quick Tipping Tip

In North America, it is customary to tip for a variety of services. If you go to a restaurant on your own, you'd usually tip 10-20% of the total bill before tax. Other services, from taxi drivers to bartenders, typically receive 10%. Your Travel Director can also answer any questions regarding when and how much to tip.

Please note: In Europe, there is no obligation to leave a tip, but between 5% and 10% is typical in most European restaurants. Make sure to check that a service charge hasn’t already been added on, as this is becoming more common. Also, bear in mind that tipping is only necessary at a table service restaurant. When eating out at a pub or fast food outlet where you order your food from a counter, tipping isn’t necessary or expected.

We plan to show you a great deal and always endeavor to make the most of every day of your vacation. In order to make that possible, we thank you in advance for your punctuality, which affords all our guests the opportunity to enjoy their time with us to the fullest.

Departure time is when everyone is seated comfortably and the coach is pulling away from the hotel or rest stop. The savvy traveler will always allow themselves enough time for bathroom visits, settling bills, and slow elevators. Your Travel Director will choreograph the day to enhance the itinerary and go out of their way to ensure that those all-important timings are clearly explained. They will also provide you with a contact number should you be in need of assistance.

Sightseeing is included in your itinerary and will generally involve a fair amount of walking and standing (as well as sitting). Some of the areas visited may be pedestrian-only with some steep inclines and cobblestones, so we would suggest bringing suitable footwear for your ease and comfort. Many streets in Europe are narrow, and coaches may not be permitted to drop guests off at the entrance. Although we will always try to get you as close as we can, some walking should be anticipated.

There are a number of terms used to describe sightseeing activities in the itinerary, and there are slight differences in their meaning:

  • A day to relax – No planned activities; time for Optional Experiences or other independent activities. Your Travel Director will be able to assist you by providing ideas and suggestions to match your interests and get the most out of the day.
  • Orientation tour – Places of interest are pointed out, allowing you to go and explore them on your own.
  • See – Observe sights while passing by on your coach, cruise, or train.
  • Sightseeing tour - A Local Specialist will accompany you to a city or site.
  • Time to relax and discover – Free time on your own.
  • View –  A brief stop to enjoy the sights and take some photos.
  • Visit – A stop with time to enjoy a specific site.
  • “Why not see” or “perhaps enjoy” – These phrases refer to Optional Experiences not included in the trip package but available for an additional fee. Your Travel Director will be happy to provide you with information regarding these or other ways to spend your free time.

Your trip documents will provide all the information you need to join your trip, such as your first hotel and what time to get there. You can access this by logging into your MyGET account. These will be available approximately seven days prior to your departure.

On most tours in Europe, your Travel Director will also be in touch a few days before your trip to introduce themselves and re-confirm your meeting point.

Worldwide Trafalgar, Insight, and Luxury Gold Tours

On Trafalgar, Insight, and Luxury Gold tours, porterage is included for each guest’s suitcase throughout the trip (one item per person), which means that you only have to bring your day bag on and off the coach each day. The porters will deliver all suitcases to the coach, where the Travel Director will check them and the driver will load them into the baggage compartment.

Your Travel Director will provide you with a luggage tag, which we advise you to use as this assists with identification and security. On arrival at each hotel, suitcases will be delivered to your rooms by the hotel porters. We suggest that you pack toiletries and any personal items you may want immediately on arrival in your hand baggage so they are instantly available.

So your driver and the hotel porters can safely lift and transport your suitcase throughout your holiday, we strongly recommend that you test the weight of your baggage prior to travel. You should be able to lift and comfortably transport it for short distances.

Worldwide Costsaver Tours

On Costsaver tours, you'll enjoy a fantastic and more independent experience at an exceptional price. You'll receive all the essential amenities, though services like porterage are not included.

Your Travel Director and Driver will help unload and load luggage on and off the coach, but it is your responsibility to take your luggage from the coach to and from your room.

So your driver and any hotel porters can safely lift your suitcase on and off your coach, we strongly recommend that you test the weight of your baggage prior to travel. You should be able to lift and comfortably transport it for short distances.

Sharing your experiences with friends and family back home is an important part of your trip.

If you choose to bring a smartphone, ensure you contact your service provider to find out how much it will cost to use your phone internationally. You might consider disabling data roaming or purchasing a prepaid service or SIM to keep control of costs. Be mindful of other guests if you take a cell phone call on the coach.

Making telephone calls from your hotel room can be very expensive. A pre-paid calling card is an easy way to save money when making telephone calls. Calling cards are readily available for purchase in most stores - please ask your Travel Director for further information.

Complimentary WiFi is usually available on our coaches, and your hotel will also provide complimentary WiFi access.

We regret that no refunds can be made for absences from a trip, including experiences such as missed meals or sightseeing.

Yes. We want to ensure you get all you want out of your trip. Each itinerary offers the perfect balance of downtime and discoveries. We also give you the opportunity to tailor your trip with Optional Experiences. Some of our trips offer a more relaxed pace, with later starts and longer stays in each place.

They will make sure you are aware of any necessary times or meeting points. Please note we cannot provide any compensation or refunds if you decide not to take part in an included activity or meal.

As our most independent style of traveling, above all, a Costsaver trip is about choice. That's why you'll find plenty of free time built into your itinerary.

  • With over 550+ Choice Optional Experiences to choose from, you get to experience a destination in your own way. That's why Costsaver is our ultimate unpackaged and independent touring option.

Meals & Beverages

Food and drink are at the heart of every destination. Your trip itinerary contains information on included meals, and your Travel Director will provide recommendations for places to eat in each new place.

Europe Tours

Breakfast: A breakfast buffet is included daily and will reflect the local region’s tastes and culture. Breakfast items may also include familiar favorites such as eggs, bacon, bread, muffins, cereals, fruit, yogurt, and cold meats and cheese. Very occasionally, an early departure may result in a packed breakfast for you to take away.

Dinners and Lunch: There may be a table d’hôtel menu (set), buffet, or a typical regional menu. You and your traveling companions will generally dine together at a designated time. Tables will often vary in size, and accessible seating enables you to dine with family members or new traveling companions each evening. When a choice of menu is offered, it is possible that you may be required to make your meal selection in advance.

Water will be provided during your meal, usually with tea and coffee served afterward. Many tour dinners will include a complimentary glass of wine, beer, or soft drink. Any additional beverages may be purchased at your own cost, and any bills need to be settled at the end of the meal.

Lunches are sometimes included but are usually an opportunity for the guest to enjoy some free time to visit a local café, bar, or restaurant and eat where the locals do. Your Travel Director will be able to provide you with a range of options to suit all tastes and preferences. Please refer to your itinerary for details of all included meals and planned dining experiences.

Specific dietary requests
We encourage all guests to advise us about any specific dietary needs they may have (vegetarian, diabetic, gluten-free, etc.), and we will strive to accommodate these. We kindly request that you advise us of dietary requirements when booking or in your MyGET account. Where possible, we will endeavor to make arrangements with our suppliers.

It is important to discuss any special dietary requirements with your Travel Director at the beginning of the trip, as hotels and restaurants do need to be advised in advance. Suppliers will do their utmost to provide an alternative to the menu. However, such requests cannot be guaranteed on every occasion.

Drinking Water

At GET, we’re about caring for our planet, and with that in mind, we always recommend that you pack a reusable water bottle for your trip. Bringing your own reusable water bottle or asking for tap water at restaurants means you can make a difference by reducing your vacation plastic waste. The good news is that the majority of countries in Europe have safe drinking water. In Western Europe, all water is safe to drink, and when traveling through Eastern Europe, you may find that alternative water options are recommended in some areas, but your Travel Director will advise when bottled water is suggested as an alternative.

There will be multiple rest stops throughout the day where you can refill your bottle with water or purchase a drink. We recommend the app Tap - Find Water Anywhere on your phone, which shows you the nearest refill station.

The best part? It’s all included.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to supply meals in accordance with strict religious requirements. We cannot provide salt-free, Kosher, Halal requests or specific dietary supplements such as milk alternatives and high protein or low-carb meals.

If you would like to see what is available, along with pricing for optional experiences, please look at the day-to-day itinerary and price includes sections of your trip on our website.

Mobility

Wheelchair
Yes, in most circumstances, you’re able to travel with a wheelchair on your trip, as long as you’re traveling with someone willing to provide personal assistance.

Motorized scooter
Not all itineraries will be able to accommodate a motorized scooter, but it is essential that we look into all elements of the vacation and our guests' needs.

For all specific requirements, including requests such as this, Please tell us at the time of booking if you plan to bring a wheelchair or a motorized scooter to ensure we can meet your needs.

Group size

Wellbeing and Safety

Your Travel Director will assist you with a doctor’s visit or hospitalization should you require it. TTC has a dedicated Guest Support Department in Europe, or our Operations Department in the relevant country will contact you to offer assistance and advice, coordinate with your travel insurance company and keep in touch until you are able to rejoin the trip or return home. This service is included in the cost of your trip; however, it is not a replacement for travel insurance, which is required to travel.

Relaxing and switching off from everyday concerns are all part of the holiday experience. Your Travel or Cruise Director will ensure that things run seamlessly on your trip. However, it is a good idea to be aware of issues that might affect your enjoyment and to take precautions to avoid undesirable situations.

Personal Belongings
Many of us carry expensive equipment such as mobile phones and cameras to capture our travel memories and keep in touch with loved ones. Be wary of showing them off in crowded places, and never leave them on the table in restaurants, bars, hotel lobbies, and public places (breakfast rooms).

Bags
Keep your bag with you at all times. Wear it across your chest and ensure the bag is on the front of your body when you walk through crowded places.

Passport and Documents
Make sure your passport is always safe. Keep it on your person on travel days.
A money belt worn under your clothing is the safest place to carry your passport, as well as other essential documents, a spare credit or debit card, larger cash amounts, and any emergency contact lists for any credit/ bank cards that you use..
Many hotels provide safety deposit boxes for your use on more extended stays, but be sure to reclaim them before checking out. Make a photocopy of your passport and important documents and keep them separate from the originals.

Cash
Only carry as much cash as you need, and avoid displaying large numbers of notes when paying for anything.

Hotels
When leaving your room, securely shut all windows and close the door to your room as you exit, with enough force to ensure it properly locks. Remember to keep your room key safely on you. On arrival at a new hotel, familiarize yourself with escape routes and locate the nearest fire exit to your room. Always know how to raise the alarm.

Situational Awareness
Avoid confrontational situations and large gatherings and if at any time a situation doesn’t feel right, walk away.

Hostile Situations
In the very unlikely situation you find yourself in the vicinity of a hostile incident, leave immediately and contact the police. If you are unable to leave, find somewhere to hide, lock the door and keep as quiet as possible. Remember to turn your phone to silent and contact the police.

We care about the planet. With that in mind, we recommend you pack a reusable water bottle for your trip to reduce your plastic waste.

The majority of countries in Europe have safe drinking water. In Eastern Europe, alternative water options are recommended in some areas. Your Travel Director will advise when the use of bottled water is recommended.

On a coach tour, there will be multiple rest stops throughout the day where you can refill your bottle with water or purchase a drink. We recommend the app Tap - Find Water Anywhere on your phone, which shows you the nearest refill station.
